IMPORTANT DATES IN CANADY’S HISTORY

1986
Fred Canady opened Precisions Air, a small air conditioning and heating company, from his garage. He hired his first employee, Richard Sullivan, to install new residential construction systems. He began with a focus in residential and commercial services but soon expanded into restaurant equipment and commercial refrigeration.
1988
The company was incorporated as Precision Air of Georgia, Inc.
1994
The company relocated to a small commercial building on Ogeechee Road in Savannah, GA. The first dispatcher was hired to staff the small office. The company had now grown to five employees.

Fred attended Dominant Market Share (DMS) — a twelve-month series on the HVAC business process and procedures hosted by Apex Supply. This program, taught by industry guru, Ron Smith, was a pivotal point in the future of Canady’s.

1995
The company name was changed to “Canady’s Precision Air Conditioning & Heating”. Fred also changed the logo from “PA” to a logo that incorporates the saluting men.

Energy Savings Agreements were added to the company offering.

1996
Fred purchased a tract of land in Richmond Hill, GA, and built the facility where Canady’s is currently located. The new 6,000 sq. ft. facility would allow plenty of room for growth over the next decade.
1999
Canady’s became a charter member of the Trane Comfort Specialist Program — a group of elite dealers from across the state of Georgia that aligned with a set of high business standards and practices. Canady’s became the leader throughout the state, installing a higher percentage of Trane high efficiency systems than any other company.
2005
Canady’s joined Business Development Resources (BDR) — instrumental in business planning, budgeting, and marketing services. This would be another pivotal point in Canady’s history.
2009
Fred was elected president of the local chapter of the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia (CAAG), where he remained president for three years.

Fred was also the founding member of the Georgia Mix Group — a forum to exchange ideas and information to improve the industry throughout the state. The group was led by Andy Holt who reunited Fred with his old friend, Rick Busby. The two met while attending DMS in 1994.

2012
Kyle Canady, Fred’s oldest son, joined the company after college graduation. Kyle had gained valuable knowledge from working alongside his father since the age of 14. Michelle, Kyle’s wife, also came to Canady’s after college graduation as an Installation Coordinator.
2014
Canady’s reached a milestone with $5M in sales for the year.
2016
Kyle was named Vice President and Production Manager.

A new warehouse was built to create additional space and facilitate build out of office space.
Canady’s joined Nexstar, an affiliation of independent service contractors who help members excel by sharing best practices and expertise.

Fred founded “Canady’s Cares,” and continues to donate to the local United Way and Florida Boys’ Ranch.

2017
Office space was added to the warehouse to create a call center and make room for further expansion. The company has grown to 35 employees, and annual sales exceed $7M.
